LDH (large)

The large Dehooker is
designed with two dehooking surfaces,
the furthest “U” from the handle is used to shake a fish off the hook, like our other models.
The closest “U” to the handle is designed
to dislodge a hook deep in the mouth, by pushing the hook away while holding onto the leader

12 3/4” length

There are many advantages to using each size of Dehooker, they have a variety of applications
When choosing a size the wire diameter of the Dehooker should not exceed 50% of the hook gap

The use of a Dehooker dramatically increases the survival of both bait fish and game fish after they are dehooked.
Using a Dehooker decreases injury to your hands caused by the spines and teeth of fish and is actually a faster way to unhook fish.

Epoxy coated foam handle.

Handle is shape to provide a comfortable and secure grip.

Unique handle features a flat spot for your thumb, opposite the Dehooker opening. This design simplifies and speeds up the process of capturing the line above the hook.

Stainless steel wire is tough and corrosion resistant.

R shaped design helps keep the line in place until the fish is removed

1) With one hand, hold the main line where it attaches to the branch line, while you catch the branch line with the Dehooker
2) Holding on to the base of the branch line, slide the Dehooker towards the hook, lifting until the hook is caught on the bend of the Dehooker
3) Once the hook is caught on the Dehooker, hold the hook in an upside down position and shake, until the fish is dehooked
