R2 Outrigger/Downrigger Clips

R & R Tackle’s patented R2/2 Set of Mirrored (Port and Starboard) Outrigger Clips on monofilament leashes feature a perpendicular release arm for reduced friction and a more effective drop-back than traditional inline release clips.

These are the strongest release clips on the market with adjustable release tensions ranging from 1 ounce to 20+ pounds. Each clip features a strong, fine tension adjustment knob and a hand-polished, large-diameter release arm for easily clearing weeds from lures and baits.

The clips are secured directly on outrigger monofilament — no floss loop or hanger needed. Large clearance allows wind-on leaders up to 500 lb test to pass through. Port and Starboard Clips (marked “P” or “S”) ensure optimal line release away from the boat, with the bead facing the cockpit during installation. Tournament-quality, these clips work for trolling, down-rigger, and outrigger applications, and are compatible with R & R Tackle kite lines. Available as a 3-set kite clip (R2/3 Set) as well.
